Have you got a Liverpool ghost story to share with FACT?
Artist Sarah Sparkes is looking for your spooky tales
Article in Liverpool Echo by Cathrine Jones, published 30 December 2016
Ghosts are the subject of an artwork on show at FACT – and now its creator is asking for Liverpool people’s help to add to her piece.
Sarah Sparkes’ The Ghost Formula is part of the current No Such Thing as Gravity exhibition at the Wood Street venue.
Her project explores mysteries surrounding the relationship between the living and the dead, and her aim is to create a research archive which investigates the nature of ghosts.
The London-based artist is drawing on Liverpool’s historical and contemporary ghost stories, and has collaborated with local paranormal research groups, psychologists, neuroscientists, academics, and spiritualist churches as well as the wider community.
Now she is also asking the public to submit their own Liverpool ghost stories.
People have already come forward with a number of spooky tales from around the city, including one about a former children’s hospital, and another centred around Myrtle Gardens.
If you have a Liverpool ghost story, you can share in on the website
No Such Thing as Gravity is at FACT until February 5 and is free.
